Company Profile
Therapeutic Monitoring Systems (TMS) is commercializing CIMVA, a point-of-care clinical decision support software application platform. CIMVA provides new physiologic insight that assists critical care physicians to make more timely and effective treatment decisions, enabling improved patient outcomes and significantly lower the cost of critical care. Our lead application will be submitted for 510(k) regulatory approval in late 2010. The company is garnering interest and support from key clinical opinion leaders in critical care and from leading multinational vital sign monitoring vendors.
Company Strategy
CIMVA will be commercialized as subscription-licensed software targeted for use initially in ICUs in large urban teaching hospitals in the US and Canada. Follow-on market segments include expansion to all in-hospital monitored beds, ambulatory and remote patient monitoring. Our commercialization strategy includes both direct sales to key opinion leader critical care clinician scientists and partnering agreements with vital sign monitoring original equipment manufacturers.
Intellectual Property
Issued and pending international patents, trade secrets, copyright and trademarks.
Programs
CIMVA (continuous, individualized multi-organ variability analysis) is a patented method of measuring clinically significant changes in the degree and character of the variability of a patient's physiological biosignals over time. Compared to the current standard of care, clinical trials have demonstrate that CIMVA enables:
- 24 hours earlier detection of the onset of infection, and
- 71% reduction in incorrect decisions to extubate (remove) patients from mechanical ventilation.
This clinical efficacy is backed by significant financial benefits, including reduced length of stay, annual ROI greater then 10x and payback within one month.
Investors
