Pria Diagnostics
Presenter: Douglas Erwin, CEO
Company Description
Pria Diagnostics is developing a new class of diagnostic tests based on its ultra sensitive, low cost, NanoFL™ immunoassay platform. Pria’s platform technologies address the more than $10 billion market for point-of-care (PoC) and over-the-counter (OTC) testing.
The Company’s is scaling up the production of its first product, an OTC male fertility test and is expanding its core technology platform into new high growth diagnostic applications in both medical and non medical markets.
The Platform
Pria´s NanoFL™ diagnostic system is comprised of a low cost, high sensitivity fluorescence detection instrument and a disposable microfluidic lab on chip cassette. The instrument has the sophistication of a clinical laboratory fluorimeter with the price and size of a rapid diagnostic. The cassette is designed for the quantitative detection of complex antigens and biomarkers. NanoFL is completely amenable to high volume, low-cost manufacturing making it an attractive low cost solution for point of use applications.
NanoFL’s Advantage
The NanoFL platform allows tests that previously could only be done in the laboratory to be performed in the home or physicians office. Not only does the platform expand the number and types of tests that can be performed at the point of care, but it does so in a simple, durable, inexpensive system.
• Ultra sensitive and Reliable : Nanomolar report concentrations, Picomolar analyte concentrations with less than 2% device to device variability
• Fluid Phase Detection: Disposable microfludic ELISA immunoassay cartridges
• Portable and robust: Highly durable design for any environment
Diagnostic Applications
Products based on Pria’s NanoFL platform are well suited to address the unique needs of point of care environment. Pria has identified a number emerging opportunities for its technologies in the Endocrine, Cardiac, Infectious Disease and Environmental testing markets. The company is developing new diagnostic applications internally and working with partners to build OEM versions of our NanoFL instrument.
