PharmEng International Inc. (“PharmEng”) is a publicly listed company trading on the TSX Venture Exchange (the “TSXV”), with a ticker symbol “PII”. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, the company was recently selected as one of the top 50 companies on the TSXV for 2005 based on a ranking formula involving one-year revenue (last reported 12 months), return on investment, market capitalization growth and trading volume.

PharmEng is a full-service consulting and contract manufacturing company that serves the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries in North America and internationally. Consulting services include project management, engineering, GMP, validation, calibration, regulatory compliance and certified training. Contract manufacturing services includes pharmaceutical support, formulation development, laboratory testing, and the manufacturing of finished solid dosage and liquid products.

PII operates three wholly owned subsidiaries, each providing distinct services or products;
(i) PharmEng Technology Inc. (“PTI”): providing consulting services
(ii) PharmEng Learning Institute (“PLI”): delivering corporate, certification and career training
(iii) Keata Pharma Inc.(“Keata”): providing contract, private label manufacturing and laboratory testing of finished solid dosage and liquid products

Building on a foundation of over nine years of successful consulting, PharmEng, in combination with its manufacturing and training subsidiaries, has evolved into a full service pharmaceutical company. Manufacturing revenues began to contribute to PII consolidated revenues in 2005 with the purchase of an existing manufacturing facility in Perth, Ontario. A new 46,400 sq. ft. manufacturing facility is currently being constructed in Nova Scotia with a completion date expected in the second quarter of 2007. PLI, the training subsidiary, delivers ongoing corporate professional development courses and concurrently offers certificate programs through recognized educational institutions such as University of Waterloo and Cape Breton University.

Alan has extensive management and professional experience with research, API, pharmaceutical manufacturing and biotechnology companies. His experience includes: Ontario Cancer Institute (Princess Margaret Hospital), Connaught Laboratories Limited (now Sanofi-Pasteur), Purdue Frederick Inc.(now Purdue Pharma), NuPharm Inc.(subsidiary of Apotex), Glaxo Canada Inc.(now GSK), John Brown E&C Chicago (now Kaverner John Brown) and Taro Pharmaceuticals USA. In 1997, Mr. Kwong established start PharmEng Technology Inc., which has grown into Keata Pharma Inc., PharmEng USA Inc., PharmEng China Inc., and PharmEng International Inc. (traded under symbol PII in TSXV).
