Business of the Company

NorVision is a biopharmaceutical company with two candidate drugs, in sequential PreClinical Development, for unmet needs in the Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) market. Other candidate drugs within NorVision’s technological scope, will also be advanced in a sequential manner. Once NorVision’s CAD$ 3M financing round is completed, we will be about 1.0 - 1.5 years away from entering clinical trials with the most advanced candidate drug in its pipeline – an orally active therapeutic for wet-AMD. NorVision will form strategic alliances with large pharmaceutical companies, and market it’s therapeutics worldwide.

AMD Devastating to Individuals and Economies

In developed countries, an estimated third of those 55-74 years of age, and 40% of those over 74 years of age have AMD. This is the leading cause of blindness for people over 55 years of age. In Canada and the US, the combined annual cost of AMD to the national economies is estimated to be US$ 33 billion1. AMD will have increasing social impact, due to aging Baby Boomers, and greater life expectancy. The current market for AMD is estimated to be in the tens of billions of dollars.
