Agrisoma Biosciences Inc. (“Agrisoma”) is a private biotechnology company committed to providing innovative products and technology solutions for sustainable agriculture and improved human and animal health. The Company is applying its proprietary technology for the development of value enhanced crops with higher yield, quality and commercial value, as well as the efficient production of industrial and therapeutic proteins.

Founded as a spin-off from Chromos Molecular Systems Inc. (CHR: TSX) in 2001, in 2002 Agrisoma completed a seed financing and commenced operations, establishing facilities in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and in Burnaby, British Columbia. In April 2004, Agrisoma completed a Series A financing. Strong intellectual property protection surround the technology as Agrisoma owns an exclusive license to a worldwide dominant patent portfolio of 13 issued and 50 pending applications.

Agrisoma's technology is a gene delivery and expression platform capable of simultaneously introducing and expressing multiple genes into plant chromosomes efficiently and predictably, without disrupting the plant's own genome. Once delivered into specific locations in the chromosome, these genes exhibit stable expression from generation to generation, enabling the creation of value enhanced crops and plants optimized for the production of industrial and therapeutic proteins.

Agrisoma's technology overcomes the limitations of conventional gene transfer technologies in crops which include reduced expression levels due to random integration of genes, and limited capacity to transfer large amounts of DNA, an important feature to enable crops to express multiple traits or large complex genes. The platform's large carrying capacity and ability to express multiple genes without gene silencing enables the creation of products that are based on the expression of multiple gene combinations.

Mr. Mamic is president and CEO and co-founder of Agrisoma Biosciences Inc. Mr. Mamic established Agrisoma in 2001 and has been spearheading its operations and business development efforts for the past 5 years. Prior to his appointment as president and CEO, Mr. Mamic held the position of Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Agrisoma’s parent company, Chromos Molecular Systems, where he directed and managed the Company’s business and financial operations. Mr. Mamic is a chartered accountant with over twelve years of financial and operational management experience gained principally in the public and private biotech sector.
