Cytochroma Inc. is a clinical stage specialty pharmaceutical company that designs, develops and commercializes prescription products to treat and prevent the clinical consequences of vitamin D insufficiency and secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Cytochroma has three lead product candidates in development for CKD patients: CTA018 Injection and CTAP201 Injection for the treatment of SHPT and CTAP101 Capsules for the treatment of vitamin D insufficiency. The Company's lead products address a significant need for new therapeutic options to better control these disorders and their associated morbidities such as endocrine, cardiovascular, and bone and mineral diseases. Cytochroma's vitamin-D based therapeutics address target markets that are currently worth over $1 billion annually in the U.S.
Cytochroma's expertise in vitamin D chemistry, biochemistry, metabolism and physiology, combined with its experience in bringing vitamin D-based therapeutics to market uniquely positions the Company to improve the lives of CKD patients suffering from diseases related to vitamin D insufficiency and SHPT.
Presenter Bio
Mr. Ngan joined Cytochroma in August 2007 and has responsibilities spanning both business development and corporate finance at the company. He has more than 10 years of experience in finance, capital markets, and business development. Previous to Cytochroma, Gordon worked in equity research at National Bank Financial and Canaccord Adams, focused on biotech and healthcare. He has also held a number of industry roles at BioChem Pharma and Shire Pharmaceuticals Group plc in investor relations and business development, at increasing levels of responsibility. Gordon holds an MBA (Finance) from Queen's University, an undergraduate degree in Immunology from the University of Toronto, and is a CFA charterholder.
